California Wage & Hour Laws

California wage and hour laws require employers pay workers for overtime hours when they have worked more than 8 hours in a workday or more than 40 hours in a workweek.. Overtime pay is one and a half times the employee’s regular wages. Employers must pay wages at least twice per calendar month, as well as establish a regular payday.
